I'd love to say that I've been happily at home recuperating but unfortunately, I contracted pneumonia and ended up back in the hospital for 3 days. I got out yesterday and am doing much better due to an extremely powerful dose of antibiotics via IV. I am hoping now that I can get on with healing as my incisions are in great shape and need to get some of my energy back and get back on track with eating.
Yes, things look good from here on out - so happy to be home again with my sweet husband and dog and home sweet home.
I'm so sorry to hear about the pneumonia, but am very happy that you are back & recovering again. Sending you lots of good thoughts & well wishes!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had to deal with pneumonia but glad you are back home. Prayers for a smooth road to recovery ahead.
ReplyDeleteYou did well even going to hospital with your pneumonia. Ted has been a month fighting his. I pray for you honey. Here's to a new year of great health and happiness. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteSometimes the road is bumpy in recuperation but I'm glad it looks smooth from here on out. I'm praying for you. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteUgh to the pneumonia complication but fingers crossed it's smooth sailing from now on. 8-)))
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are recovering. Pneumonia is not uncommon after surgery. You need tons of rest. I do not know if you have any dietary restrictions. If not, eat fresh fruit such as kiwis, oranges, things high in vitamin C and hearty veggie soups made with chicken or beef stock. Stay safe and be well.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that's terrible, but I'm so glad the antibiotics helped you get back on track. I'm sure you are happy to be home again. Thanks for the update! Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back home again - 3 days and IV antibiotics Hugs.

ReplyDeleteOh dear, so sorry about the trip back into the hospital, but that was probably the best place to be.

Praise God!! I pray faithfully for you every single day and am so happy to see this post!
ReplyDeleteI wondered how you were. Try not to do that again. Stay well and get strong.
ReplyDeleteOh, so glad you're over the pneumonia. (Life is what happens when you're busy making plans.) Didn't want to bother you but have been thinking about you often. Get well, be well, stay well! Huge hug from beautiful rainy Southern Spain
ReplyDeletePneumonia is not fun, I know it well. Take it slow and good luck with the healing.
ReplyDeleteHome will heal you xxx
ReplyDeleteIm sorry about the set back but such positive news on your overall recioeration. Here's more well wishes!
ReplyDeleteOh no, you poor thing! I'm so upset to read this. I'm glad you're back at home now and that you start to feel better very soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteHang in there despite the setback, Cheapchick. Sending good vibes.
ReplyDeleteOh that was nasty. I'm so sorry you ended up back in hospital but I'm glad you're home again now and can start recuperating and getting back on track with your life!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you....I am sorry you got so sick and hope each day you feel stronger
ReplyDeleteDrat it! So glad you are home safe and sound. Buddy must wonder what you are up to, disappearing and re appearing. I'm sure he is very happy to have you home.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you have been so unwell, whilst antibiotics do an essential job I hope they don't make your gut feel a bit crook. Yoghurt and sauerkraut (not together though ha, ha) will make you feel a lot better as well. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry that this happened to you. I am assuming that you were in the local hospital and that you did not have to go back to Vancouver. Sending healing thoughts your way. Hope you still have your tree and all the lights up :)
