Freebie Day!

Today I went to collect on some freebies.  Breakfast was a mango mandarin smoothie from Booster Juice.  Normally? $5.98 with tax (let me just say I can't recall the last time I paid for one and I would have been outraged at the price if I had paid for this one) - free! I am on their Birthday freebie list.   Our location was closed on my Birthday so I could not take advantage of it as the store was changing ownership.  I complained, they sent me a card for a free smoothie.  I don't recall signing up for a free razor coupon but one came in the mail so today I picked it up too - $12.98 including two replacement heads for hubby.  Men's razors seem to be one of the easiest to get freebies from the last few years and I can't remember the last time I actually bought him one.  Thank goodness as they are ridiculously expensive for disposable razors.  Finally a bag of 20 Sunlight dishwasher tabs.  Those were $5.98 but will be free once I fill out the paperwork for a rebate (only costing a stamp).  So today's freebies came to a total of $24.94 - not too shabby!  As my Mother always says, every little bit helps!

We are spending some time at home for Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend.  Tomorrow I cook a turkey, and if the weather is nice we will have a walk by the ocean.  Cheers everyone!

  2. Happy Thanksgiving!

I love me some freebies but alas, they seem to be drying up around here the last few years. Oh, to go back to 2009 when Kmart did Double coupons up to $2 for almost the whole year and I got an amazing amount of HBA/Toiletries/Food/Pet stuff/Paper Goods for FREE!

You did good with your Freebies. 8-))

    1. Our coupons dried up but there is still the occasional freebie which seems to take less energy. I wish we could double coupons in Canada but no stores allow it. Thanks!

  3. Happy Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for.

Good haul on the Freebies! I used to go on Wal-Mart's website and sign up for various freebies to be mailed to me, but nothing pricey like this. Usually one free Pampers diaper, small pack of feminine products, tiny roll of toilet paper, etc. You really got some good, useable, free stuff! :)

    1. We are still using shaving cream gotten on a freebie from four years ago. Why is it there are more freebies for men than women? That probably isn't true though - I just take it for granted.

  9. Nope you had a nice holiday! Free is good! I received a free ( up to 12.50) coupon from Bath & Body works a few weeks ago. I took advantage of that and then received a buy 1 get 1 free from them also! I would like some info on signing up to receive more freebies any suggestions? Thanks!

    1. I love Bath and Body works! I only know about a few sites in Canada: Smartcanucks.ca is the best one to let you know about freebies and deals, they also carry the flyers before they come to your door. Cheers!

  10. I HATE buying razors - why the heck are they so expensive!? I try to make them last as long as I can...and hey, we need the extra layer through the winter anyway....ewww!

  11. And damn I regret not signing up for some more B-day freebies ;) agreed with Jane, paying for razors and other expensive toiletries is paaaainful. Always fun when we can find ways a round it. I ask organic soap/toiletry companies if they can send samples and sometimes get 'em!

    1. My favorite freebie every year is a coupon for $5 off my favorite frozen yogurt - they allow one coupon a year and it is enough to buy a tub when on sale. Cheers!
