The town of Campbell River has miles and miles of waterfront that is great for walking, biking and shell picking.
We spotted part of Canada's extremely tiny Navy going by.
I have never seen bald eagles gliding for the fun of it but this family of five eagles were just riding the wind gusts of up to 50km per hour. It was great to watch. There was Mom and Dad and three young eagles who still don't have their full coloring.
Then we drove back to Comox and did a bit of exploring at our marina.
Today is sunnier and warmer so we plan on exploring some more beaches and ending the day with a BBQ. Cheers and have a great week!
Beautiful, even on a cloudy day. We've had many cloudy days with some rain here. Enjoy spending time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks! We go to Alberta fairly often but they don't get to come here too much so it is a bit of a treat for all of us.
DeleteWe watch the eagles a lot at camp. It's majestic and awe inspiring. Our cliff is up 100 feet so sometimes they soar by at eye level. Sounds like a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe only other place I have seen so many eagles is Alaska. I routinely see four or five hanging out together at one time. It was a great day!
DeleteWhat a special time! You live in a great place to be tourists! It is all so beautiful! Lucky YOU!
ReplyDeleteI keep wanting to pinch myself to make sure we really live here - no regrets on living here at all!
DeleteI love to watch jellyfish too! Great little shot you took!
ReplyDeleteThey are not the easiest things to shoot due to the constant movement. I have only been stung once when swimming in the Pacific in Mexico by them but don't hold it against them.
DeleteAha! So,we do have ships! I thought we only had two canoes and a kayak!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Those canoes and kayak are still part of the Sqaudron lol
DeleteLooks like a great visit! I also wanted to drop you a line to say my blog, shoestringmanor.com has had a domain issue. The new one is http://shouldbelimited.blogspot.com/
