A Picture of Our New Island Pad

This is a picture of our new pad on Vancouver Island - four weeks today I shall be arriving to occupy it fulltime. Hubby will hopefully come very soon after! Can you tell I am counting down?

  1. It looks so nice! I like that it is on one level. I think I burn tons less calories because I don't climb as many stairs now and it's a short walk from the TV to the kitchen. You will love the smaller life for sure!

  2. Smaller ? that looks huge compared to UK properties. I'm sure you will love it. Keep posting.

  3. I agree, it is still a large home compared to many, but the house we are leaving is 3500 sq foot of living area on 3 levels (required due to cold bleak winters and a family of six - four stepchildren who are all young adults or older teenageers who will only be coming to visit now). This home is just over 1700 sq foot - a bungalow with a crawlspace for storage under it. The picture makes it look large but part of it is it has 10 foot ceilings in the entire home which is part of the reason why we fell in love with it - open concept living, dining and kitchen. 3 bedrooms one of which will be hubbys office as he works from home. This is our forever home - no stairs - which is good as I at 43 have fibromialgia (arthritis in 11 of 13 points in my body that are indicators of the disease). Thanks for your kind comments.

  4. Hi your new home is lovely & spacious looking. I live in a bungalow on one level. It does have 2 small rooms upstairs . I dolike being on one level. In the uk propertys are not as spacious unless you are really really rich!Wish you lots of happiness in your newhome & lots of beach walks xx
