1930s Treasure and a Sign of Spring

I found this 1930's treasure while working at a used bookstore about ten years ago. Cost $10. It is in excellent shape and even included the original box which has some small chips. Don't you love 1930s design?

If you have not had any luck adding to your old cookbook or children's book collection check out your nearest used bookstore. I guarantee you will find some goodies.

Last Spring I bought a little pepper plant from Canadian Tire for 99 cents. It produced two tiny peppers and when Fall hit it came to live inside the house for winter. It has just flowered and has at least four more buds waiting to open. I take this as a positive sign of Spring to come-now only if our house would sell!
