Thrift Store Find

A small thrift store find yesterday, these two mugs for hubby's coffee.  He works from home in our Company and hates mugs that have small bases.  These are not hand done, but are both microwave and dishwasher safe so will make our life easier as he often nukes his coffee after it gets cold.  A whopping .75 cents each.  After I broke his favorite mug last month I have been on the look out for a replacement.  He approves!

My last post on what to do with $100 had the most comments ever - 24 so far!  The answers are quite interesting, and I recommend you have a look at all the comments if you get a chance. A quick welcome to new readers as well as I saw a few comments from those who haven't commented before.   Have a great weekend everyone!

    1. I rarely buy anything new anymore, when so much great stuff can be found at the thrifts

  2. These mugs are great. I would have spent part of MY hard-won $100, as well (even if I hadn't won it...) I've gone to thrift stores and flea markets here, but haven't so far found something I "need." Down-sizing three years ago makes a big difference, I guess.

    1. Downsizing sure does curb the picking up of "stuff". I am better able to purge now.

    1. He does a lot of talking on the phone so his coffee is constantly getting cold.

    1. I think originally they priced them higher as there is another sticker underneath but .75 was just the right price for me :) I am cheap that way.

  7. So now you have a spare for when you break the next one ;)

    1. My thought exactly - although I hope these are a bit tougher than the last one - it was a Starbucks mug that I found at Goodwill. We are too cheap to spend $5 on coffee but hubby really liked that mug.

    1. I bought three flowery mugs with dragonflies at the thrift last month for myself, the cupboard is a bit full right now, might have to purge some of them (or break more?)
