I haven't done a thrifting post in a while, mainly because the finds have been few. First an unmarked vintage bunny vase. Perfect with Easter coming up.

Front - it is only 3 inches high |
|
Even the back and sides are cute! It would make a great Q-Tip or penholder. |
|
Another old medicine bottle for my collection. |
|
Glass starfish made out of recycled glass on Mayne Island (I found this in Alberta at Christmas) |
This 1955 Dutch Oversized Alice in Wonderland. The illustrations are incredible - they highlighted with gold ink.

My favorite illustration |

ReplyDeleteI know - its cutie petootie!
DeleteCool starfish! Great decoration for a shelf. :)
ReplyDeleteIt sits on our bedroom window sill - I thought it should be repatriated to by the Ocean. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteCool finds!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love the sea so I love the starfish, it's really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI know, I wanted one of these but didn't want to pay the big price - very happy to find it at a thrift!
DeleteI do so love a good thrift store treasure! It's like the thrill of the hunt! Once I spent a month in Scotland and they call their thrift stores 'charity shops.' I suppose people the world over love a bargain. You know what they say- one man's trash is another man's treasure!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments on my blog. You certainly do encourage me! I am going to visit YOU more often! For some reason you don't come up on my feed - I need to figure out how to fix that!
Have a good day! Stay out of the wind! It's still blowing down here!
If and when we go to Europe hubby shall be dragged through a few charity shops! I shall look into the feed issue. Take care!
DeleteI used to have an Alice In Wonderland book like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for pre 1960 kids books. This one has in pencil in the front cover "from Opa and Oma 1956". It couldn't be any sweeter!
Deletethat bunny planter is SO CUTE! i love the color of it too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I thought so too - like the bunny is a pin-up or something.
DeleteLove a good thrifty find. Cute bunny!
ReplyDeleteYes, I am officially addicted to thrifting. Fortunately I also leave the store sometimes empty handed. I see people just loading up carts there - shopping just like they do retail!
DeleteThat book is a fabulous find!
ReplyDeleteIt needed to be rescued - having already survived little hands for 60 years!
DeleteI love your stuff you found, especially the old medicine bottle! I want to go thrifting soon but have projects to complete first! Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! Glass starfish, bunny vase, and a medicine bottle – combine this all and you’ll definitely create a lovely decoration for your house. Or you can refill the medicine bottle with any liquid you may have at home. Just make sure you clean it well before reusing it.
